Imagine decoding the genomic fingerprint of a lung or ovarian tumor...

The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) is a joint venture between the National Cancer Institute and the National Human Genome Research Institute which is attempting to do just that - explore the genomic aberrations in cancer tumors. We spoke with Lynda Chin, MD, Chair of the Glioblastoma Disease Working Group of the TCGA to learn more about this project. You can view our interview here.

(Trading Markets) Aug 28, 2008 - Pro-Pharmaceuticals, Inc. announced that the FDA has granted an Investigational New Drug application for use of DAVANAT(R) in combination with 5-FU to treat a breast cancer patient at the Brown Cancer Center in Louisville, Kentucky. DAVANAT(R) also is being administered in Phase II clinical trials for first-line treatment of colorectal and biliary cancer patients.
